Who were Critics of The New Deal?

 Many Rep. claimed New Deal did too much

Said programs = socialistic/communistic



American Liberty League, founded in 1934, spearheaded opposition to New Deal. Claimed gov interfered too much with business and people's lives.



Progressives and Socialists said New Deal didn’t do enough
Upton Sinclair called for complete overhaul of the US economy.
